'Stranger Things' season 2 spoilers news: First trailer revealed; episode titles confirmed

The second season for Netflix's hit TV show "Stranger Things" will be back in 2017 for another round of supernatural horror and '80s pop culture. Netflix released the first trailer for the forthcoming season last Wednesday, Aug 31.
The trailer revealed all the episode titles for season 2. The Duffer brothers' science-fiction TV show will have nine episodes next season.
It seems like the show will jump right into its reverence for the '80s film industry next season. The first episode, "Mad Max," is a direct reference to George Miller's dystopian film franchise.
The second episode titled "The Boy Who Came Back to Life" will most likely be about Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), the boy who disappeared and was presumed dead by the entire town until his family and friends helped him escape the "upside down."
The third episode is titled "The Pumpkin Patch." Sources said the title could be referring to the demagorgons' eggs in the alternate dimension. An entire patch of demagorgon offspring could potentially run loose around town next season.
The fourth episode is called "The Palace." In a previous report, it was mentioned that the Duffer brothers had an affinity for "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom." They also revealed that they liked how the film got darker as it progressed. Sources said the brothers could be channeling "Temple of Doom" for this episode.
The fifth episode is titled "The Storm," which many presume to be an electrical storm, "a massive amount of energy" that's used to transport people to the "upside down."
The sixth episode could be about the creature that Will coughed up towards the end of season 1. The episode "The Pollywog" might reveal what that creature really was. Some think the critter could be a growing demagorgon.
The seventh episode which is titled "The Secret Cabin" could refer to Will's little fort, but others assume that the gang will be putting up a new cabin for hideouts and secret meetings.
The eighth episode, "The Brain," might finally delve into Eleven's brain. Others suspected that it could focus also focus on the main antagonist or the head demagorgon.
The ninth episode, "The Lost Brother," has intrigued fans. Although Will was brought back to the world, he was last seen spewing an icky slug-like creature. The episode might see Will turning into a demagorgon. On the other hand, fans believed that the lost brother could be Eleven's (Millie Bobby Brown) fellow experiment in the government facility.
The second season of "Stranger Things" will return to Netflix in 2017.
