'Steven Universe' season 4 release date news update: Peridot and Lapiz featured in 'Gem Harvest' sneak peek
The last episode of Cartoon Network's "Steven Universe" had Steven meeting up with Beach City oddball Onion and his friends. It will be awhile before fans get to see the next episode, but a sneak peek has been posted by Cartoon Network online and it featured Steven, Peridot and Lapiz Lazuli.
The clip lasted for about two minutes and it looked like the show is getting into the spirit of autumn. Peridot and Lapiz seemed to have found a love for farming and they brought Steven over to the barn to take a look at their crops.
One of the pumpkins that the pair has planted has sprung to life and it found itself attached to Steven. Peridot, however, is confused as to why the pumpkin would rather listen to Steven instead of her or Lapiz when they were the ones that planted it.
Steven then admitted that it was him who brought the pumpkin to life, much to the dismay of the pair. In an attempt to cheer them up, Steven then tried to carve a face on a regular pumpkin. However, it horrified the living pumpkin creature and it started to cling onto Lapiz.
Back in the season one episode "Watermelon Steven," it was revealed that Steven's spit had the power to bring plants to life. After Steven spit out watermelon seeds, they suddenly grew into sentient watermelons which plagued Beach City. The melons were then banished to their own island, and in the first episode of season 3, it was revealed that they formed their own watermelon society.
Will Steven's powers bring more living plants to Peridot and Lapiz's barn?
The next episode of "Steven Universe" titled "Gem Harvest," will reportedly air in Cartoon Network sometime this November.
