"Steven Universe" season 4 just returned to the small screen, but it already is on a break again and won't be back with episode 9, "Three Gems and A Baby," until next week.

The new episode appears to be a flashback one that will allow fans to explore Steven's babyhood. Looking at the title, speculations have it that it will also show Greg's first years as a father.

There is not much information to take away from the synopsis for "Steven Universe" season 4 episode 9 as Cartoon Network kept it short and sweet: "Greg tells Steven about their first winter together."

As revealed by show creator Rebecca Sugar at the New York Comic-Con (NYCC), the episode will feature a new duet to be sung by Greg and another character believed to be Rose Quartz.

It is titled "I Could Never Be Ready." Here, the characters sing about not being prepared for something that Sugar did not reveal when she sang a bit of the song with Greg's voice actor Tom Scharpling.

However, the titles of the episode and the song have many thinking that it pertains to Greg not being ready to be a father to Steven.

There are no details as to what the "Steven Universe" season 4 episodes will be after "Three Gems and A Baby," but new information might arrive as the air date of episode 9 nears.

The animated series returned last Nov. 18 with "Gem Harvest." It was a half hour special that served as a Thanksgiving-themed episode that touches on immigration.

The episode did not feature a new fusion—specifically that of Lapis and Peridot—as many fans hoped although this is not off the table just yet.

With no details on the next episodes of "Steven Universe" season 4, it appears that fans will have to wait for Cartoon Network's word on the schedule.

"Steven Universe" season 4 episode 9 "Three Gems and A Baby" airs Thursday, Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. EDT on Cartoon Network.
