After a long break, "Steven Universe" returns to the small screen for a special new episode airing next week.

Titled "Gem Harvest," the upcoming episode is another half-hour special from the series, similar to "Bismuth" back in August. To give fans an idea of what to expect, the official synopsis reads:

"Steven works his magic and makes a pumpkin come to life! Lapis and Peridot are disappointed that the newly-living beast doesn't immediately take to them, but Steven (unknowingly) helps the pumpkin bond with its new gem-owners."

In a promotional image released by the network, the gang sans Steven appear to be looking at something as they make different facial expressions. During the show's New York Comic Con panel last month, the sneak peak for "Gem Harvest" was released featuring Peridot and Lapis Lazuli. The two characters wanted to eliminate boredom in the barn, so they decided to farm vegetables instead. However, they were disappointed after learning that the things they planted are not in any way similar to gems.

Steven enters the picture and realizes that he doesn't have the heart to see their hard work lead to a letdown. To make his friends feel better about their work, he decided to create an animated pumpkin, which looked like a combination of a jack-o'-lantern and a dog. There are speculations that the episode will also feature a new fusion between Peridot and Lapis Lazuli, since fans have noticed that the two characters are getting closer to each other.

It remains to be seen if the series will once again feature a fusion between two gems. However, if it happens, "Adventure Time" voice actress Ashly Burch is rumored to lend her voice to the new fusion.

Tune in to the special "Steven Universe" episode titled "Gem Harvest" on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m. ET on Cartoon Network.
