'Steins;Gate 0' release date, news and updates: Sequel set for Nov. 29 release

"Steins;Gate 0" will be released to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on Nov. 29 in North America, Sony has announced.
Players will be able to purchase a physical and digital version of the sequel, which features a new story in the science fiction visual novel series featuring mad scientist Okabe Rintaro.
"Steins;Gate 0" imagines a world where Okabe failed to save the love of his life Kurisu, which brought him depression and heartbreak.
Okabe becomes "a broken wreck" and starts to take medication, gives up ion his friends and just focuses on continuing the work started by his beloved.
"But fate isn't done with Okabe, when he discovers, early on, that Kurisu may not be as lost to him as he first thought," Sony teased on its blog.
The official description for "Steins;Gate 0" provided by Sony is as follows:
Steins;Gate 0 is a much darker, more somber story than Steins;Gate. The original asked you to repeatedly make a choice about how much you were willing to sacrifice to save Mayuri. Zero is a story about living with the consequences of those choices, even if they're not necessarily what you want.
There will be a bunch of new characters to meet "Steins;Gate 0," but the original core group will also be back namely Mayuri, Farris, Daru, Moeka, Luka, and Suzuha, who will all be helping Okabe overcome his depression.
Localization lead Adam Lensenmayer teases that he likes the new characters better than the old ones with Maho being the standout.
"She is one of the most well-developed characters I've seen in years. Similar to Okabe in many ways, with a strong exterior personality that hides a heart that isn't nearly as tough as she'd like it to be," he wrote about the "Steins;Gate 0" newcomer.
