'Star Wars: Rogue One' to feature airspeeders from 'Empire Strikes Back'

The first stand-alone movie from the "Star Wars" saga will soon hit the theaters with "Star Wars: Rogue One," and it will feature the same elements of the original "Star Wars" film series, which includes rumored comeback of the airspeeders as seen in "Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes." As it will be a spin-off and may or may not have connection or reference to the Skywalkers, "Star Wars: Rogue One" is built up to become a unique but equally enjoyable movie treat.
"Rogue One" is just the first of the planned trilogy of "Star Wars" spinoff which will be released on December Gareth Edwards will take the directorial seat as Chris Weitz will stand as the writer of the movie. The first actress to be cast in "Rogue One" is Felicity Jones, who had a critically acclaimed performance in the movie "The Theory of Everything." The plot of the movie is set years before "Star Wars: Episode IV- A New Hope" and therefore will incorporate elements from the 'Star Wars' films of the '70s and '80s.
The exact narrative of "Rogue One" is still unclear even though it is known that it will serve as a prequel spinoff to the current "Star Wars" saga. Prior to the movie itself, there is another project that will serve as a prequel to the planned spinoff trilogy that is in the form of comics. Marvel has been reported to make a partnership with Lucasfilm to create a comic series that will predate the events in "Rogue One." It is also unknown if the timeline of "Rogue One" and the comic series will coincide with that of "Star Wars: Episode III- Revenge of the Sith" as the latter movie also serves as prequel to "A New Hope."
According to IMDB synopsis for "Rogue One," the movie will revolve around a group of resistance fighters on a dangerous mission to steal the plan of Empire's secret killer weapon, the Death Star.
