"Star Wars Episode VIII" is still more than a year away, but there is no stopping the fans of the huge cinematic franchise to speculate about the contents of the upcoming film. One interesting rumor that recently surfaced online involves the lineage of the new "Star Wars" heroine, Rey (Daisy Ridley), and how she is connected with the major characters of the film series. The rumor came from a fan who claims that he has already read the script of the untitled Episode 8 movie.

The fan took on Reddit to post the alleged leaked information from Episode 8 script. According to a report from the Week, the Reddit user revealed that the working title of Episode 8 is "Echoes of the Dark Side," and the movie's plot will mostly focus on the quest of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) to uncover the mystery of reincarnation and how it is connected with the Force.

The fan said that Luke went missing for a long time because he wanted to understand the concept of reincarnation. He has learned that the Force reincarnates the Chosen One when the universe faces great threat. Luke's father, Anakin Skywalker or more popularly known as Darth Vader, was the Chosen One before he apparently turned to the Dark Side. However, the fallen Jedi finally did what was expected from him as the Chosen One during the final scenes of "Return of the Jedi." After his death, the universe is facing yet another threat with the rise of the Republic under Supreme Leader Snoke. The Reddit user claimed that the Force has sent back Anakin Skywalker in the form of Rey as the new Chosen One.

Moreover, Yibada reported the "Star Wars" fan's Reddit username as "LouEvilOne." While many people have speculated that Luke is Rey's father after "The Force Awakens," the Reddit user debunked this fan theory and instead pointed Rey being the "child of the Force" as the reason why she possesses the skills similar to a Jedi knight.

The reincarnation theory fits well to the revelation of Director J.J. Abrams that Rey's parents were not in "Episode VII." Abrams told Entertainment Weekly that her real parents have not yet been featured on film, thus raising the possibility that Rey's parents are new characters in the story and they are one of the old-timers like Luke.

"Rey's parents are not in Episode 7, so I can't possibly say who they are at this moment. But I will say it is something that Rey thinks about, too," Abrams said.
