Electronic Arts has officially unveiled a big news for those who are looking forward to seeing the new generation of "Star Wars" films in the next chapter of the game studio's adventure shooter game "Star Wars: Battlefront."

As the current "Battlefront" video game is based on George Lucas' original trilogy of "Star Wars" movies in the '70s, the fans have been hoping that the next "Star Wars: Battlefront" game will include new contents from the newly-released "Star Wars" sequel, as well as the other upcoming movies to be released in the following years.

According to a report from Game Rant, Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen announced that the fans of "Star Wars: Battlefront" can expect "Bigger and better worlds" in their next "Star Wars" project.

He also mentioned that the new "Star Wars" movies such as "The Force Awakens" and the soon-to-be-released "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" will be included in the contents of the next "Battlefront" video game. While "Episode VIII" is still under production, players can also expect the contents of the movie to be featured in the new game.

Jorgensen also added that EA is now planning to make more "Star Wars" video games that will be released every year for the next three to four years. He estimated the release date of the "Battlefront" sequel to arrive sometime next year.

"Star Wars: Battlefront" is still enjoying a commercial success worldwide, with more than 14 million copies of the video game sold in digital markets all over the globe. While there are already talks regarding the sequel, EA is still working on the present video game to make the gaming experience of the players more thrilling and more fascinating as ever.

The latest DLC content pack for the game called "Outer Rim" was released on April 5 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms. Both EA and DICE recently conducted a free trial gameplay for "Outer Rim," IGN reported. The free trial ran from May 13 to 16, where those who have not purchased the latest DLC pack would get the chance to experience the new "Battlefront" contents.
