Great news for "Star Wars: Battlefront" fans. It seems like players will finally experience Virtual Reality (VR) on their favorite video game.
Following Sony's announcement that the game will be coming to PlayStation VR, fans could not stop talking about the latest buzz over the Internet.
The exclusive game developed by EA DICE and Lucasfilm will certainly give fans the chance to experience what it is like to be inside the game – as part of the battles between their favorite characters.
The news was confirmed by Sony Computer Entertainment President and CEO Andrew House during the Sony's GDC show
"This will be a Star Wars Battlefront gaming experience like nothing else, where players can transport themselves to a galaxy far, far away," said House. "We at PlayStation are thrilled to be partnering with our friends EA and LucasFilm to create something all new for PlayStation VR. This will be a Star Wars Battlefront gaming experience like nothing else; coming only to PlayStation VR from the talented team at DICE, where players can transport themselves to a galaxy far far way."
There is still no confirmation whether the upcoming "Star Wars: Battlefront VR" will use the same content of the existing game and will just add the VR element into it or if the developer will create a new game with fresh content exclusive for the VR platform.
Further details of the partnership between EA DICE and Sony will certainly be announced anytime soon. Fans would also want to know if "Star Wars: Battlefront" will make it to the Oculus Rift of Vive. Many players consider that as a good idea as well; however, there has been no announcement yet from the developer regarding that matter.
The VR headset will be launched in October of this year and it is reported to be priced at $399.
