'Star Wars Battlefront' DLC features news 2016: Bespin expansion pack includes Lando and Dengar as new characters
"Star Wars" fans are in for a treat as the next "Star Wars Battlefront" downloadable content (DLC) pack, dubbed as Bespin, will include Lando Calrissian and bounty hunter Dengar. The two new characters are the third and fourth playable characters that have been added to the game after its launch.
The Bespin expansion pack, which is going to be released in June, will bring "Star Wars Battlefront" gamers in and out of Cloud City. The game will utilize four new maps that were based on the floating Tibanna gas mining colony. The expansion pack is free for all Season Pass holders.
Players will also be able to see AT-ATs in Cloud city, fly high in Fighter Squadron, and be able to spend time in a carbonate chamber. There will also be more blasters, star cards, and a new game mode.
On the Bespin Blog, "Star Wars Battlefront" producer Craig McLeod wrote, "Speaking of heroes, we know they have been one of the things you most like about the game; we're happy to confirm that there will be eight total heroes included in the Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass (which includes Greedo and Nien Nunb released with the Outer Rim pack) – two more each in both the Death Star expansion and our yet-to-be-revealed fourth expansion pack. More on the heroes to come this summer."
The makers of "Star Wars Battlefront" at Electronic Arts (EA) DICE have also been listening to the comments and suggestions from the players and are currently working on improvements such as new in-game events, new hutt contracts, and more new content. The company is also coming up with specific activities for May 4, during which Star Wars Day will be celebrated.
Bespin is the second of the four expansion packs that EA has planned for "Star Wars Battlefront." Outer Rim, the first one, came out in March, while the third DLC drop, called Death Star, is expected to be released in fall. A fourth unnamed expansion pack is slated for early 2017 release.
