Lighting artist Oscar Carlen announced on Twitter that he has been working really hard on the expansion pack, as it is expected to launch soon. Carlen tweeted, "@CosmicCharlieGD I have to double my effort today, even though you are not supposed to work on Sundays. Trying to make the Emperor happy."

A source said lighting work is one of the final touches of the development process. Hence, the game is close to being finished and will hopefully launch before September ends.

The DLC will feature Chewbacca and R2 D2 as playable characters. Furthermore, it will include a game mode called Battle Station, which was showcased at the 2016 Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.

This game mode will put players through three different phases. Players need to accomplish a certain task in each phase before advancing to the next.

For phase one, players will fly in space with X-wing and A-wings, battling with TIE fighters and TIE interceptors. Players need to destroy enough TIE fighters until the Y-wing support arrives to penetrate the Star Destroyer's defenses.

For phase two, players will enter very familiar territory which was inspired by the original trilogy of the franchise. In this phase, players will have to enter enemy grounds, specifically, the Death Star. Players will have to fetch a high priority droid. More importantly, gamers will be able to use Bossk and Chewbacca for this challenge.

For the final phase of this new mode, gamers will be transported back in space to destroy the Death Star. Players can portray the hero Luke Skywalker with his Red-5 X wings. However, gamers need to have Skywalker's skills since Darth Vader will be patrolling the area with his TIE Advanced.

EA has yet to announce a specific release date for the "Star Wars Battlefront" Death Star DLC. But the expansion is expected to launch anytime this month.
