According to the latest reports, the much-anticipated return of the web-slinging crime buster Spider-Man on the big screen will feature Peter Parker's memorable high school dance, which may or may not be disrupted by the film's possible main villain, The Vulture. According to Sony Entertainment big man, this scenario has a big chance of actually happening.

iDigital Times has reported a rumored scene where the upcoming Marvel movie's lead hero, Peter Parker/Spider-Man, having his memorable high school dance. The online publication speculated that a huge scene related to high school may come up, given that "Spider-Man Homecoming" will be directed by John Hughes, a person known for a few iconic films centered on high school, specifically "The Breakfast Club" and "Pretty in Pink." It appears that a high school dance is not off the table, as Sony Pictures Entertainment CEO Tom Rothman revealed confirmed it as a very likely theory.

Roth had a short chat with IGN at the Ghostbusters Hollywood premiere, revealing that a few poignant high school moments can be expected in "Spider-Man Homecoming."

"The title is relevant to the story because it takes place in high school and there is a scene that I guess I can give a little thing, at a homecoming dance. I've actually seen the dailies of it because we already did the high school shooting of it in the first couple weeks and it's fantastic," said Roth.

Moreover, the rumors are rife that the big bad villain of the next Marvel flick will be The Vulture, and there is also that possibility that the antagonist will cause quite a stir in Peter Parker's quiet high school life.

"Spider-Man Homecoming" is expected to hit the theaters next year, made possible by the partnership of Sony and Marvel Studios. The movie will feature Tom Holland wearing the iconic Spidey costume.
