'South Park' season 20 news: Sept. 14 premiere date confirmed

Comedy Central's adult animated sitcom "South Park" will be making its premiere on Sept. 14, bringing back the toilet humor and social commentaries viewers have come to love.
With the accolades including five Primetime Emmy Awards, the show has matured like a fine wine, with its two decades of dark, surreal and satirical brand of comedy still being patronized by fans around the globe. Following the series' success, Comedy Central renewed "South Park" last summer for three more seasons, which tests its staying power as the second longest-running US cartoon behind "The Simpsons." This means that the show will go through until 2019.
"'South Park' remains the bedrock of Comedy Central and we are thrilled that new episodes will continue to entertain audiences for years to come," said Comedy Central president Michele Ganeless in a press statement via Mashable. "The series remains as urgent and relevant now as the day it premiered and at nearly 20 seasons in it continues to draw generations of new fans," she added.
On another note, no word yet from creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone if they will continue with the PC Principal storyline or veer away to an opposite direction. What's certain is that each episode is created within a week in order to keep up with current events as possible, as reported by iDigital Times.
The premiere episode of season 20 entitled "Bad Luck" will guest star Christopher Lloyd, voicing Sinister Snail. Originally from the former Cartoon Network series "Billy and Mandy," Sinister Snail will threaten Butter's life through bad luck. The episode will air on Comedy Central at 10:00 p.m., according to Moviepilot.
Set in the dysfunctional town of South Park Colorado, the show focuses on the lives of four irreverent grade-schoolers named Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick as they go about in bizarre adventures.
