Sony was a participant at the IFA 2016, and the company took the opportunity to present their latest Xperia handset models. It boasts a lot of new and exciting features that were not present on its predecessors, although there are rumors that the Xperia XZ is actually the long-rumored Xperia Z6 smartphone.

According to Game N Guide, the Sony Xperia Z6 has long been rumored to be released in the coming months. During the IFA 2016, many tech analysts and enthusiasts were quite surprised when Sony showcased the Xperia XZ instead. It is likely that the Xperia XZ is unofficially the Xperia Z6. Its highlighted specs features, on the other hand, prove that the new Xperia smartphone is a huge step ahead of the previous handsets created by Sony.

One of the noticeable features of the Xperia XZ is Sony's very own design, the ALKALEIDO metal back. Tech Radar reported that the device will be more rounded on its edges compared to the previous models. Its improved casing will have the IP68 water resistance technology, greatly reducing the risk of having the smartphone destroyed when exposed to water. The Xperia XZ will have 2,900 mAh worth of battery capacity, which is quite an improvement over other Xperia models. As for its camera features, the Xperia XZ will have the 5-axis image stabilization technology that allows better white balance control and laser auto-focus.

Tech Advisor reported that the Sony Xperia XZ will be out in the United Kingdom early October this year. Although Sony has yet to reveal the exact release date of their new model, as well as its expected price tag in the country. However, the online publication speculated that the new Xperia smartphone will have a price ranging from £500 to £600.
