The Sony Xperia C3, which was released last year, was designed to be a budget smartphone with a great camera for selfies. In terms of design and specs, it quickly drew stiff competition from rivals such as HTC One Mini 2, which is much smaller.
Design
The Xperia C3 is squarely aimed for the budget sector, which explains why it does not have the premium build of higher-end Sony smartphones. Both the Xperia C3 and the HTC One Mini 2 come with the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system. In terms of their specs, The HTC One Mini 2 and the Xperia C3 both have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and Adreno 305 GPU.

The rear camera on the HTC One Mini 2 is a 13 megapixel shooter while the Xperia C3 has a 8 megapixel version. As for the front facing cameras, both devices have 5 megapixel versions.

The retail price of the HTC One Mini 2 is pegged at $409 while the Xperia C3 costs $466.
