Sony recently revealed the features of its brand new gaming platform, the PlayStation 4 Pro. The GPU power of the console is reportedly twice that of the standard PS4.

Unlike the standard PS4, the PS4 Pro 4K resolution will provide better visuals. At 2160p, this console will show crisp graphics even if a game is played across a wide screen. It will generally give its supported titles graphical improvements. Moreover, this device will be able to play PlayStation Virtual Reality titles. One limitation of the PS4 Pro, however, is that it will not be able to play 4K Blu-ray discs.

According to Sony, older titles will be patched through a feature called Forward Compatibility. The console will improve the titles' graphics to fit the PS4 Pro's hardware.

The new gaming device will contain a one terabyte hard drive, which is twice as much as the capacity of the standard consoles. A USB 3.1 port will also be included at the rear portion of the device.

The console will have a similar finish to the forthcoming PS Slim. The PS4 Pro will have a three-tiered design and will boast larger dimensions of 295x55x327 mm.

There will be no exclusive titles released for PS4 Pro consoles. Games will be able to run on both the PS4 Pro and the PS4. Moreover, there will be no exclusive expansion packs or DLCs for the Pro. Like the titles, the expansions will be able to run on both consoles.

Pro will also have a shared and equal PlayStation Network (PSN) ecosystem. Hence, PS4 users can play and communicate with users who have the forthcoming device.

Another feature that will remain the same is the interface for the save, trophy and PSN account log-in. The PlayStation Store is still pretty much the same but it will feature new pages. Physical game-packaging add-ons on will reportedly be added to the list as well.

Sony's PlayStation Pro will be available starting Thursday, Nov. 10 for $399.
