Hit FX series "Sons of Anarchy" has been over for quite some time now, but it seems like fans still can't get enough of their favorite show. Talks about a possible spinoff have been surfacing online, as creator Kurt Sutter already confirmed that he is working on a new series inspired by the critically-acclaimed show.

According to reports, the spinoff will focus on the  Mayans Motorcycle Club, with rumors suggesting that actor Charlie Hunnam will reprise his role as Jackson "Jax" Teller. Unfortunately, further details about the new show are being kept under wraps and the latest update from Sutter states it will indeed arrive soon. His post via Twitter states: "Mayans MC spinoff just got one step closer. I'm very excited about this story. Dark and beautiful. #MayansMC."

On the other hand, Comicbook.com speculates that Hunnam coming back to the show is quite far from happening, especially since the show will have a mythos of its own. As noted by the media outlet, Sutter recently mentioned that the new story he is developing will not involve older characters. Moreover, it will revolve around a biker gang from a "purely Latino perspective" which means that adding Hunnam as a cast member will be "counter-productive." The timeframe which the show will be set in is also a huge factor. If it will be set in the future, Jax will obviously not be there, and his appearance would only be possible if the show will run parallel to "Sons of Anarchy."

The network and execs remain tight-lipped on further updates about the upcoming show, and all fans can do right now is speculate. Most of the updates circulating right now are just rumors, so everyone is advised to take them with a grain of salt.

Last year, Entertainment Weekly reported that Sutter plans to pass the position of being executive producer to someone else once FX decides to push through. The reason behind is that he wants to focus more on his historical epic "The Bastard Executioner."
