'Sons of Anarchy' Season 7 Series Finale Spoilers: Plot Could Feature Jax's Final Ride

"Sons of Anarchy," which airs on Tuesdays at 10 on FX, has been drawing on Shakespeare, Hamlet in particular, for inspiration this season.

Hence, it did not shock many viewers when the last episode titled "Red Rose" saw Jax (Charlie Hunnam) killing his mother Gemma (Katey Sagal). That particular incident was deemed by many to be a foreshadowing of Jax's death which looks likely to happen in the finale.

The show has been heavily promoting the season's finale with the hashtag #finalride. This is true for many characters of the show who have met their end. The last episode first saw Juice (Theo Rossi) being killed by Tully (Marilyn Manson) in jail.

However, the deaths of Unser (Dayton Callie) and Gemma, both of who were shot by Jax, were the most compelling scenes in the last episode. Their deaths seemed to be the "final nail" to Jax's coffin ahead of the series finale.

Even though the final episode will see Jax facing the result of Mayhem vote which could lead to him dying, there are others who could kill him as revenge for Unser's or Gemma's deaths.

With Jax's death looking increasing likely at this point, the fate of SAMCRO is still unclear. However, some sites say Nero (Jimmy Smits) could take over the leadership of the club in case Jax dies. Nero is also expected to allow Jax's sons and Wendy (Drea de Matteo) to live with him on the ranch.

Other fans of the show, however, are not convinced that Jax will die. They say the least likely situation will be Jax going into witness protection. In case he manages to survive the finale, the most likely scenario could see him being removed from SAMCRO altogether and moving to the ranch with Nero.

However, some are betting that Nero will be the one to kill Jax as he had a relationship with Gemma and had previously warned Jax against killing his own mother, saying "that there is no coming back" after that.
