'Sons of Anarchy' Season 7 Recap: Jax Deals With Gemma Killing Tara

"Sons of Anarchy," which airs on FX at 9/10c every Tuesday, just showed us in the "Suits of Woe" episode how brutal and unpredictable the series and its characters can be.
The episode, which drew its title from Shakespeare's "Hamlet," began with Jax (Charlie Hunnam) sitting on the floor of his son's Abel's (Ryder Londo) room. It looked like he had spent the night there trying to work out why his mother Gemma (Katey Sagal) killed his wife Tara (Maggie Siff) by sticking her with a fork.
Then we saw Juice (Theo Rossi) finding a tied up Lin (Kenneth Choi). He then proceeded to kill Lin, thinking that by doing so he would now be forgiven by SAMCRO and accepted back into the gang.
Soon after Jax learned that Lin was dead, he came to meet Juice and asked him about Tara's death. Juice resisted initially, but when Jax told him that Abel could end up being examined by shrinks he finally told him that Gemma did indeed kill Tara, and that he helped cover it up by blaming it on the Chinese. After Juice's confession, Jax broke down but quickly recovered, telling Juice that he would make sure his death was quick.
The rest of the episode revolved around Juice informing Gemma that Jax already knew the truth, prompting her to leave town. She then met with Nero (Jimmy Smits) to ask for a getaway car. However, Jax called Nero at that moment and he collapsed in grief upon learning that Gemma murdered Tara and that she was leaving and would presumably never return again, meaning he had no future with her.
Finally Gemma met Abel and said goodbye to him, while Jax stole a car to flee from the cops who were searching for him. Jax then met Nero and they talked about what Gemma had done, which led to Jax crying while Nero comforted him.
