It's a no-brainer that South Korean actor Song Joong-ki is currently one of the most talked about stars in the entertainment industry. Apart from his good looks, he has proven his acting prowess in the recently concluded hit television series "Descendants of the Sun." He played the role of Army captain Yoo Si-jin in the KBS drama, alongside popular actress Song Hye-kyo as his leading lady.

The drama caught the attention of so many viewers, taking the Asian TV industry by storm in just the first season of its run. Given that the show launched his career, Song Joong-ki's net worth also skyrocketed, surpassing popular Korean Hallyu stars Lee Min-ho and Kim Soo-hyun.

Reports say that the 30-year-old earns the most from Chinese endorsements and deals, where his recent six-month earnings amounted to a whopping 2.8 billion KRW (approximately $2.46 million).

"Song Joong-ki, who is all the rage now in Asia thanks to 'Descendants of the Sun,' is rising in value. In China, the price for his endorsements skyrocketed. In half a year, he makes 16 million Yuan, which is higher than what Lee Min Ho and Kim Soo Hyun makes combined. Currently, around 10 advertising agencies are sending him various offers," reads the quote which was reportedly from the China Internet Information Center (CIIC).

Besides endorsement deals, the actor is also confirmed to make an appearance in the fourth season of "Hurry Up Brothers," the Chinese version of Korea's SBS variety show "Running Man." He was previously a host of the original show but he was still a rookie celebrity back then. He already filmed a segment for the Chinese series last week, where he is rumored to earn a staggering 200 to 300 million won each episode. To boot, the actor also inked a three-year contract worth 6 billion won for a Chinese cosmetics brand.
