Snooki 'Jersey Shore' Star Wedding to Jionni LaValle Delights Fans
On Nov. 29, Snooki – officially known as Nicole Polizzi – married long time beau and father of her children Jionni LaValle. Snooki starred in the reality series "Jersey Shore" and although the show was cancelled after six seasons, she has remained popular on social media.
"Jersey Shore" was a hit series for several years. It first hit TV screens in 2009 and was followed by several spinoffs created in other countries. Its last season aired in 2012 as MTV decided to cancel the show due to falling ratings.
Since then Snooki and her best friend Jenni Farley "JWoww" have gone on to star on their own show titled "Snooki & JWoww," which is currently in its final season.
Snooki's wedding, therefore, became pretty popular on social media. Details of the wedding, including its "Gatsby" theme, were discussed in many sites. Much attention was also focused on her dress, a picture of which Snooki posted in her social media account on Saturday.
Her wedding to LaValle has been in the works for years. The couple right now has two children – Lorenzo who is two years old, and Giovanna Marie, who was born three months ago.
Snooki and LaValle were officially engaged in 2012. After the wedding she announced that the ceremony would be shown on MTV in a special episode. Even while her wedding was going on, the reality star live-tweeted the proceedings and included photos of the different dress she wore to the reception. She described the dress as fun and mentioned that it was designed by Ines DiSanto.
At her wedding, the star wore a dress designed by Bridal Reflections. It matched the "Great Gatsby" theme that was seen throughout the wedding. Supporting the star were fellow cast mates from "Jersey Shore" – JWoww, Sammi Giancola and Deena Nicole Cortese – who all wore black bridesmaids' gowns.
