'Sniper Elite 4' release date, news, rumors: Gameplay features will be much bigger than before

The successful game developer company Rebellion has not yet revealed any additional information for the upcoming action shooter video game "Sniper Elite 4," since they made the big reveal about the plans for next installment to the "Sniper Elite" game series. While fans have been searching for fresh and reliable information about the upcoming game's features and setting, they have been assured by Rebellion that "Sniper Elite 4" will be the best one yet in the franchise.

"Sniper Elite 4," which is expected to arrive later this year, has been the talk of the gaming community upon the first announcement of Rebellion that they are indeed planning a follow-up game to "Sniper Elite 3," according to International Business Times. The latest scoop about the video game was shared by Rebellion Creative Head Tim Jones.

In a recent interview with the Game Watcher, Jones revealed that Rebellion's creative team has been consistently working on their latest game offering. "Sniper Elite 4" is expected to be released in PC, as well as today's new generation gaming consoles such as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The upcoming game is expected to be a big step up from the company's previous work, and Jones said that the players can expect a lot of improvements which the old-timers may not have witnessed yet in the franchise.

Jones also revealed that the past limitations imposed by then-existing gaming technology when "Sniper Elite 3" was released had prevented their team to further improve the quality of gaming in the third installment. Rebellion has not decided to develop games for the older versions of gaming platforms and they are formally moving on to the latest hardware technology of this generation. With this, the fans can expect that the previously existing limitations to create the past "Sniper Elite" games will not be seen as problems in the case of "Sniper Elite 4."

"Often the things they are clamoring for we weren't able to do with the previous iteration but wanted to... This time around with Sniper Elite 4, the maps are much larger than they've ever been before, which we've been able to do because we are on PS4, Xbox One and PC," Jones stated in the interview.
