"Harry Potter's" Rupert Grint will be taking on a rather different character from Ron Weasley in his upcoming TV series titled "Snatch." The actor will be portraying gangster Charlie Cavendish in the show.

The series is based on a real heist conducted in London. In the said event, Low-key hustlers managed to get their hands on a valuable piece of gold. As a gang of mid-twenties criminals enter the world of organized crime, the group will face gypsy fighters, international mobsters, and corrupt police officials.

For Charlie to become a strong underworld figure, he needs to evade the imprisoned gang lord Vic Hill (Dougray Scott) and nightclub owner Sonny Castillo (Ed Westwick).

Official details surrounding the forthcoming series are rather slim; however, the first on-set photos of Grint in character have been circulating on the internet.

Grint was seen wearing various radical outfits in the photos. In one particular photo, the actor wore a pig mask, and looked as if he was ready to raid a bank. In a different photo, it seemed as if the gangster was ready to rob something, as he was seen wearing a blue jumpsuit with gloves while carrying a shotgun. Although his new outfits are very different from his robes in his wizarding days, Potterheads are excited to see Grint back in action.

The TV show will have 10 episodes. "Snatch" will be launched on Sony's free on-demand TV service Crackle. The show will not be available to fans in the United Kingdom, since Crackle is not yet accessible in Europe. However, sources say that the show will be released in United Kingdom at some point.

The series will be based on the original Jason Statham and Brad Pitt movie; however, the showrunners will be adding their own elements to the show as well.
