'Sleepy Hollow' season 4 casting news, updates: Kamar de los Reyes joins cast, Ichabod takes on new mission with Abbie's sister

"Sleepy Hollow" is now heading into its fourth season, and a new cast member has recently joined the Fox mystery drama.
According to reports, De Los Reyes will play a major part in season 4. The "Salt" actor has been tapped to portray Jobe, a burly bodyguard who works for Malcolm Dreyfuss (Jeremy Davies). As Malcolm's muscle, Jobe is the one who is in charge of people who stand in the way of his boss' plans.
Actor/musician De Los Reyes has appeared in several popular feature films including "Salt" with Angelina Jolie and "The Cell" starring Jennifer Lopez. He was recently seen as a guest star in "Castle" and "Kingdom," and his next TV project will be USA's "Shooter" alongside Ryan Phillippe.
Season 4 picks up with an episode titled "Columbia," which centers on Ichabod (Tom Mison) as he works with a covert organization specializing in supernatural investigations. Spoiler reports note that he will eventually discover a huge archive situated in the capitol that contains all the recorded supernatural phenomena in history. Known as The Secret History of America, the said archive is believed to be bigger than the one Ichabod and Abbie (Nicole Beharie) frequented back in Sleepy Hollow, New York.
On his journey to Washington D.C., Ichabod will be joined by Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood), Abbie's sister. Mison previously said in an interview that Ichabod's grief over Abbie's death will motivate him to continue his work. Upon reaching the capitol, Jenny and Ichabod will meet their new team: Jake (Jerry MacKinnon), Alex (Rachel Melvin) and Diana (Janina Gavankar), a secret agent who is not a believer of anything supernatural.
Production for "Sleepy Hollow" is currently in full swing, and the cast and crew are currently filming scenes in Atlanta for a 2017 premiere. "Sleepy Hollow" moves forward with some major cast changes that led to a soft reboot, following the unexpected departure of female lead Beharie when season 3 wrapped up this year.
The fourth season of "Sleepy Hollow" premieres midseason 2017 on Fox.
