Official Facebook Page

This week's episode of "Sleepy Hollow" saw Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) and Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) searching for the Sword of Methuselah which they plan to use to kill Moloch.

"Sleepy Hollow" airs at 9/8c on Fox every Monday.

The beginning of the episode saw Crane struggling to decipher Grace Dixon's journal. Mills finally managed to do it, finding out that they need to procure the Sword of Methuselah from a spot which is marked in the journal.

However, Katrina (Katia Winter) inadvertently revealed Ichabod and Abbie's plans when she used a magical mirror to contact them while Henry (John Noble) spied on her. With this information, Henry then sent Abraham (Neil Jackson), the headless horseman, to get the sword before Ichabod and Abbie found it.

The showdown between Ichabod and Abraham happened in an old building where the sword was hidden. However, the fight was cut short when the sun rose and the Abraham had to retreat. But before he left, he managed to remove a plaque with a clue to the location of the sword.

Abbie, however, figured out that a door hidden under the rocks led to a cave which contained the sword. There they found a number of statues and soon realized that they were actually petrified people victimized by Medusa who was living in the cave. The pair then retreated and planned to divert Medusa's attention with the return of Abraham whom Medusa could not turn into stone.

The plan worked well and resulted in Abraham and Ichabod fighting each other while Abbie looked for the sword. Abraham, however, was called away when Henry blew a horn signaling that war was about to begin. This allowed Ichabod and Abbie to work together to look for the sword at the bottom of a chalice.

The end of the episode saw Henry as the horseman of war and a fully grown Moloch getting ready to launch their evil designs. A small subplot saw Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) transporting Frank Irving (Orlando Jones) to the border, but he had to duck into the woods to avoid a roadblock. Irving did not arrive at the rendezvous point and left instead a voicemail expressing hope that they would eventually "meet in a better world."
