'Sister Wives' season 7 spoilers update: Kody Brown hopes to find 'really young' fifth wife, source claims
"Sister Wives" star Kody Brown is said to be looking for a fifth wife to add to the four he already has.
While the Brown family has had its fair share of tension and drama, particularly with Meri Brown's recent catfishing controversy, things in the unconventional household are set to heat up even more with the possible addition of a fifth and "younger" wife.
According to Life & Style, as reported by Hollywood Life, Kody is looking to add a new wife to the fold just in time for the upcoming seventh season of the TLC reality series. Kendra Pollard, a friend of Robyn Brown's, reportedly told the magazine, "He's definitely seeking another wife."
"He's been looking for more than a year," another source told Life & Style, pointing out that Kody seems to have some specific ideas for his next wife in mind. "He's wanted someone really young, like 19 or 20. And she has to be attractive and thin."
According to the magazine's insider, Kody's current wives are "miserable" about the prospect of another woman entering the polygamous marriage. "As it is now, there isn't enough love to go around," the outlet's source said.
Kody, an advertising salesman, married Meri legally in 1990. While they were legally divorced in 2014, they remain "spiritually married." Following his and Meri's legal wedding, Kody had three "spiritual weddings," with Janelle, Christine, and Robyn.
In 2015, Meri opened up to Kody and her fellow sister wives about her catfishing experience. She had met, fallen in love with, and been in an emotional affair with a man online. The man, who she knew as Sam Cooper, was later revealed to be con-artist Jackie Overton.
"It was easy to connect with him, just because there was so much in common," Meri said in a clip from the TLC special "Catching the Catfisher." "He was very, very flirty with me. And I have guy friends and I am a little bit flirty too."
