'Sister Wives' season 7 spoilers, plot news: Therapy gone sour as the family heads to Hawaii for much-needed getaway

The therapy that was supposed to repair the damaged relationship between "Sister Wives" stars Meri and Janelle Brown seemed to have backfired on them even as the family prepares for their much-needed Hawaiian getaway.
It looks like the catfishing scandal in which Meri got herself involved in is still looming over the family like a dark shadow. Not even a wedding and a new baby could cut through the tension brewing over Meri and Janelle, as they continue to run into old issues that hound not just the two of them but the entire family, too.
Earlier, it was reported that the two would once again sit down for a therapy session after their Thanksgiving plans fell through. The two needed to sort things out between them before their upcoming family vacation lest they spoil the fun for everyone.
They used to be close, what with Janelle being previously married to Meri's brother, but things started to turn sour when the former left her ex-husband to be with Kody.
In the video clip shared by EnStarz, Meri was shown asking their therapist what she and Janelle were supposed to do when Janelle keeps on shutting down and hates it when she's being straightforward.
"We both realized we do things completely differently. But we also have years of reacting to one another's differences," Meri was shown explaining in the clip.
What's certain is that Meri and Janelle's clash will not keep the family away from their Hawaiian vacation, as TV Guide shared. They would pack all their bags and head to the sunny shorelines, but not without controversy following them.
In the June 19 episode titled "Hawaiian Vacation Erupts," the family would apparently be embroiled in fights over car parking and where the beach umbrella should be placed. The episode also promises to show Kody and Meri trying to figure out what caused the downfall of their marriage.
"Sister Wives" season 7 airs every Sunday at 8:00 p.m. on TLC.
