The sister of Charleston shooter Dylann Roof is receiving criticism for reportedly asking for help paying for her wedding following her brother's massacre that killed nine people.

Amber Roof, sister to Dylann Woof, recently created a GoFundMe page to ask for $5,000 to help pay for wedding costs and her honeymoon after she was unable to go through with her wedding due to her brother's massacre on Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina on June 17.

Amber's wedding was scheduled to take place four days after on June 21, but as she writes on the GoFundMe page, she and her fiancé were forced to cancel their planned nuptials due to the "actions of one man."

"Our wedding day was full of sorrow, pain, and shame, tainted by the actions of one man," she wrote on the GoFundMe page. "The Charleston Massacre took place and our lives were forever changed."

"Our wedding day was suppose to be the most important and special day of our lives," she continued. "It was suppose to start our lives together with our new family. Our day was the exact opposite."

Some have criticized Amber for being insensitive toward the nine lives that were lost when her brother opened fire during a prayer meeting at the African American church.

"This has to be the most self-centered and insensitive fundraising page I've ever encountered and I'm shocked that GoFundMe hasn't erased you from their existence already," one commenter wrote.
