'Shameless' season 7 episode 8 spoilers: Lip tries to go back to school, Fiona uses DIY approach to renovate her laundromat, Ruby Modine talks Lip-Sierra relationship
The Gallaghers try to redeem themselves in the upcoming episode of Showtime's hit family dramedy "Shameless" season 7.
Titled "You Sold Me The Laundromat, Remember?" next week's episode will see the characters attempt to get their lives back on track. According to the official synopsis for episode 8, Fiona tries to renovate the laundromat. Short on funds to pay for professional help, the eldest Gallagher sibling resorts to a DIY approach to improving her business.
In hopes of getting reinstated, Lip (Jeremy Allen White) agrees to go before the school board and proves he deserves to return to the institution. Meanwhile, Kev's (Steve Howey) trust in Svetlana (Isidora Goreshter) begins to wane even further when he learns that the titty van is missing.
As the previous seasons have established, Lip has issues with women and last week's episode made it more obvious. Aside from refusing to support his sister's ambitions, he pulled away from his new love interest Sierra (Ruby Modine) when she decided to take their relationship to another level. However, he did apologize to Sierra at the end of episode 7.
Speaking with Cosmopolitan, Modine mentioned that Sierra might be playing it a little cooler than she actually feels when it comes to her ex-boyfriend Lip. "She's gotten much more comfortable with him... I think it's safe to say that maybe she started off thinking 'this is a really good looking guy and he seems fun,' but maybe over time she does want something more," she explained.
Modine also shared her thoughts on a possible future for Lip and Sierra, and she admits feeling optimistic about the two characters. "Yes. I think there's a possibility. If it were to happen—with a very, very bold if—it would be because she's grounded and knows what she wants," the actress said. "She's a hard worker and not partying all the time. A better way to say it is that Sierra could be a good choice for Lip. But you never know."
