'Sense8' Season 2 plot, cast news: Sikandar Kher cast as new villain?
The production of the second season of "Sense8" has not yet wrapped up, although details about the new cast members of the show keep on coming by the day. The recent confirmed cast member of "Sense8" Season 2 is the Bollywood actor Sikandar Kher. His character in the series remains as mysterious as the theme of the show is, but the rumors are rife that Kher will be taking on a more villainous role that will bring more conflict in the lives of the sensates.
According to a report from the Gulf News, Kher confirmed that he was approached by the "Sense8" team a few months ago to offer him a role in the upcoming season. The 34-year old actor, however, did not disclose if his role in Season 2 will be a hero or another one for the viewers to loathe.
Many are speculating that Kher's role could be a villainous character, reminiscent to Whispers (Terrence Mann) that served as the first season's main antagonist. It is, however, not clear, if Kher will be portraying a character as evil as Whispers or if there is a chance that he will be an ally instead.
"It's a small but an important role, and it takes the story ahead," said Kher. "The first season of the show was a massive hit, and I hope season 2 also gets the same appreciation by the audience as season 1 did."
There is a lot of things that viewers should look forward to in the upcoming second season of "Sense8." The mystery drama thriller has been a huge success since it was released as a Netflix original series last year. As the first season introduced the concept of sensates and explained how each of them is specially interconnected, the upcoming season will focus on the psychic intimacies resulting from this special bond. In the case of Season 2, the sensates must remain strongly bonded together.
