Samsung unveils own Windows 10 tablet

Samsung Galaxy TabPro S, the first tablet released by Samsung to run in Windows 10 operating system, is now available in the market for purchase for a suggested retail price of $899.99. TabPro S will be packaged with a keyboard case that features two different angles for the users to adjust.

The specs that Samsung's latest tablet exhibits include a 12-inch display, 4 GB or RAM, 2.2 GHz Intel Core M chip, and a very light weight restricted to 1.53 pounds. The display offers screen resolution of up to 2160x1440 pixels, which is considered to be the new standard in the laptop trends these days. The notable display feature of this tablet is the Super AMOLED technology that would show deep inky blacks, something that is impossible to be done with an LCD panel. Samsung claims that TabPro S is the first in its size class.

Samsung TabPro S is also claimed to last up to 10.5 hours after having a full charge with varying type and duration of usage. It also has quick-charge technology that allows the battery to recharge completely in a limited time of less than 2.5 hours.

It was also announced that a new version of the Surface Pen that will match the newly-launched Samsung tablet later in the year, and the Flow feature that resembles that of Apple's iPad line. This would allow deeper connection between a Samsung Galaxy mobile phone and a Galaxy tablet which lets the users to read and respond to text messages, view notifications, be automatically logged in to the user's account, and to establish a hotspot easily.

The Verge noted that TabPro S adopts many features of Microsoft's Surface Pro and Surface Tab generations that include the convertible design, along with the aforementioned screen display descriptions. However, TabPro S is thinner compared to Surface Pro 4,  but its processor capability is lower than that of Microsoft's latest Surface Pro design because it uses Intel Core M processor, unlike Surface Pro 4 that uses the more advanced Intel Skylake.
