Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 release date, specs rumors: Device to be unveiled at IFA 2016 in September

Samsung has not yet released an official announcement regarding the next iteration of the S-series Galaxy Tab. However, if the rumors are anything to go by, the South Korea tech giant may surprise the public with the unveiling of the Galaxy Tab S3 within the coming months. In fact, the upcoming event in September may highlight the arrival of the new device.

It is rumored that the Galaxy Tab S3 will arrive on September 1, according to a known Russian tech spectator and device leaker Eldar Murtazin. Yibada reported that Murtazin has a good track record in leaking details about Samsung gadgets for the past few years, making this Galaxy Tab S3 release rumor possible. Moreover, the rumored unveiling of the device on September will happen at the upcoming IFA 2016 event which will run from Sept. 2 to 7 in Berlin, Germany. To note, Murtazin's Sept. 1 release of Galaxy Tab S3 is a day earlier than the IFA this year.

Another tech enthusiast, Evan Blass, recently posted a supposed leak of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 model on his Twitter account, sparking the rumors that the gadget is well on its way to be released, Yibada reported. However, some people have noticed some inconsistencies regarding the claims that the Samsung device in the leaked photo is in fact the latest Galaxy Tab.

Regarding the specifications of Galaxy Tab S2's successor, it is expected to retain the 4:3 aspect ratio of the previous models, according to Android Authority. This came out as a surprise for some people as one would expect that Samsung will improve it.

The Galaxy Tab S3 is also rumored to sport an 8-inch display with 1,536 by 2,048 pixels screen resolution. It will use1.8GHz Snapdragon 652 processor, 3 GB RAM, and 32 GB internal storage. It is also expected to have a decent camera features with 8 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera. It will be packed with 4,000 mAh battery.
