It looks like Samsung is trying to make the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 a bit different compared to the recently released handsets in the market today, or maybe even bolder with its revolutionary screen display.

As reported by CNET, a recent presentation in the iMiD 2016 Display Exhibition in Seoul, South Korea has sparked the rumor that Samsung is planning to make the Galaxy S8 smartphone to be made up almost entirely of OLED screen panel. Park Won Sang, Samsung's engineer in display manufacturing unit, revealed that Samsung may release the next Galaxy handset that is over 90 percent screen. The percentage of the screen over the device's entire front side is around 80 to 90 percent, suggesting that the Galaxy S8 will be featuring even more screen compared to its predecessors.

Samsung's engineer also said that Samsung may also not stick with the 90 percent screen to front ratio, as it is still possible that they will go up to 99 percent screen, following the recent trend to make the smartphones made up of mostly screen. This plan is quite similar to the recently unveiled Xiaomi Mi MIX concept phone, which front is also entirely screen.

Meanwhile, News Everyday reported that Samsung will be introducing a lineup of new design features and specs that any other leading companies in the market today have not yet included in their devices. One of these new features is a special fingerprint scanner in the smartphone's screen, making the device's security feature stronger.

It is also worth mentioning that the next Galaxy S-series handset might sport curved screen display. The previous Samsung smartphones have sported the usual flat screen panel, but the Galaxy S8 will be coming in bolder and slicker with an all-new curved screen display. Although, it is interesting how the curved screen display will count on the rumored 90 percent screen ratio of the Galaxy S8.

Two Galaxy S8 variants with curved screens will be released next year, one sporting a QHD 5.1-inch screen and the other with a 4K 5.5-inch display.
