Samsung Galaxy S6 Release Date: Out in the Market Sooner Than Expected?

After the iPhone 6, the Samsung Galaxy S6 is now the biggest thing to watch out for in the smartphone calendar.
Although this much-anticipated phone is not expected to land in stores until early 2015, rumors about it have started making the rounds on the Internet, suggesting that Samsung could be planning on an earlier release date, just in time for the holidays later this year.
However, based on the release dates of previous Galaxy phones, chances are the Galaxy S6 won't be with us until February next year. The release date could possibly be moved sooner because of the drop in profits for the giant Korean company, but this remains a rumor.
Claire Kim, an analyst for the Daishin Securities Co., said in a statement, "We all know Samsung's third-quarter earnings will be pretty ugly. The earlier release of its new phones could be reflected in its third-quarter earnings. It could give them a slight boost."
In an interview with the New York Times, Lee Min-Hee, another analyst for the IM Investment and Securities, said: "Samsung's profits in the mobile division will continue to deteriorate during this period of changing their line of smartphones."
The previous Galaxy models have been around since the beginning of the year, and they are already considered old stuff in the smartphone world. With the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus getting a big chunk of consumers' attention, Samsung must be planning some counter-measures. Hence, fans are pretty sure that the Galaxy S6 is just around the corner.
As for the Galaxy S6 specifications, it is widely expected that the phone will showcase a fresh, aesthetically appealing and durable design, as well as a flexible body, higher resolution, QHD display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset.
Samsung has not revealed any official details about the Samsung Galaxy S6 so everything will remain a rumor until that happens.
