Samsung Galaxy S5 vs LG G3 Review: Comparison of Specs, Features - High-Quality Phones Go Head-to-Head

A comparison between the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the LG G3 shows that their respective manufacturers left no stone unturned in producing high quality devices, but still the LG G3 manages to edge out the Galaxy S5.
Starting with design, the Samsung S5 has a finish which is akin to dimpled matte plastic on its back panel while the LG G3 has polycarbonate panel with a metal skin. As for size the LG G3 measures 5.59 inches, making it physically bigger than the Galaxy S5 which comes in at 5.76 inches. In addition there are almost no bezels on either side of the LG G3 compared to the Galaxy S5.
This size difference and reduced bezel size means that the LG G3 has a bigger True HD-IPS + LCD screen measuring 5.5 inches, with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a pixel density of 534 pixels per inch. Compared to this, the Galaxy S5 has a Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a pixel density of 432 pixels per inch.
As for the phones specs, both the Samsung S5 and the LG G3 have a Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chip coupled with a Quad-core Krait 400 CPU clocked at 2.5 GHz and an Adreno 330 GPU. However, the Galaxy S5 only has 2 GB RAM on its 16 GB and 32 GB versions. The LG G3 comes with 2 GB RAM on its 16 GB version while its 32 GB version has 3 GB of RAM.
Coming to their cameras the Galaxy S5 has a 16-megapixel camera with the new ISOCELL sensor technology, while the LG G3 has a 13-megapixels camera with a back illuminated sensor and dual-LED flash.
Comparing their prices, the Galaxy S5 is available at $650 without a contract while the LG G3 is priced at $773.
