The latest reports regarding the next iteration of Samsung's Galaxy Note is the built-in iris scanner on the device to strengthen its security features. The report came from a recently leaked video showing the features of the Galaxy Note 7.

There are still several days before the anticipated big reveal of the South Korean tech giant with respect to the Galaxy Note flagship, but the internet has been providing the public with the latest rumors from time to time. It was reported by TechnoBuffalo that by basing on the supposed video leak of the Galaxy Note 5's successor, the Galaxy Note 7 is very similar to the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, excluding the S-series Pen and a few specs upgrades. Moreover, the main attraction of the video is the iris scanner of the Galaxy Note 7, which enables the user to unlock his phablet by only using his eyes.

Still, the online publication gave the warning that the video may not be real at all due to its short duration and poor quality.

According to The Verge, Samsung will be having a special event on August 2 in New York City, where it is expected that the South Korea-based electronic company will finally introduce the new Galaxy Note to the public. The rumors have begun spreading on the internet regarding the anticipated next look of Samsung's popular phablet since late last year, and it was only just now that the company will be ready to discuss the official details of the new Galaxy Note.

To note, Samsung released the previous Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note 5 on Sept. 26, 2014, and Aug. 21, 2015, respectively. Thus, the anticipated big reveal of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on August 2 is almost a month earlier compared to the usual schedule of the company on the Galaxy Note release.

It was reported earlier that Samsung will skip the "Galaxy Note 6" tag as a "wise" marketing move. Instead of Galaxy Note 6, the next Samsung phablet will be known as Galaxy Note 7 to maintain the number sequence of Samsung's upcoming flagship devices this 2016, which are all at 7. This year is also expected to see the arrival of Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. If Samsung released their latest phablet model as Galaxy Note 6, it might cause some kind of confusion and problem among the consumers.
