It cannot be denied that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is one of the most anticipated devices to be released this year. In spite of the South Korean electronics company keeping every detail under wraps, the rumors are rife that the Galaxy Note 5's successor will be unboxed very soon, featuring various specs upgrades. The tech giant's next-generation phablet will be sporting a new and more classic look, and if the rumors are anything to go by, it will be released in two variants almost, less than a month from now.

Those who are familiar with the benchmarking tool, Antutu, would know that its listings give the public some ideas about the upcoming devices in the market. As for the Galaxy Note 7, the Antutu benchmark listed it as SM-930V, featuring a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with 4 GB RAM. The latest Galaxy Note is also expected to sport the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, although contrary to earlier rumors that the phablet will be using the next Android operating system called Android N.

Game N Guide reported that the latest Antutu listing is quite different from the earlier rumored specifications of the Galaxy Note 7. For one, it was believed by tech spectators that the next Galaxy Note will have an octa-core processor, but Antutu listed its processor as quad core SD 820. Moreover, the listing also reveals that the Galaxy Note 7 will arrive in two variants. The high-end variant is described to have 64GB internal storage, a 13-megapixel main camera with LED flash, plus a 5-MP selfie front cam, Time News reported.

The Galaxy Note 5, the predecessor of Note 7, has been out on the market since August 2015, and as reported by eWeek, the next Samsung phablet will be out around the same time this year. Specifically, Samsung is said to have an important event on Aug. 2, where the grand launching of the Galaxy Note 7 is expected to take place.

It was already reported earlier that Samsung will skip the "Galaxy Note 6" title for its next phablet model. Instead, the Galaxy Note 5's successor will be known as the Galaxy Note 7, to keep the number sequence of Samsung's upcoming flagship devices this 2016. This year is also expected to see the arrival of Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, and if Samsung released their latest phablet model as Galaxy Note 6, it might cause confusion among the buyers.
