Samsung Galaxy Note 7 release date and specs rumors: Hybrid device expected to get launched on Aug. 2?
A new phone listing involving the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 7 suggests that the hybrid phablet will get a 3500-mAh battery capacity. There are several speculations all over the Internet saying that the South Korean tech company is getting ready to release the upcoming device.
Previous rumors suggested that the device will come with a much larger battery capacity of 4000 mAh. However, the details on the new listing might disappoint many tech observers as they hope for the company to put a larger battery to make sure the phone has enough power for its advanced specs and features.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is expected to get launched at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on Aug. 2 in New York. According to Samsung's official website, the revelation of the phablet will confirm some of the rumors that have been going around for quite some time. The site added that Samsung's goal in creating this new device is to provide better user experience for those who want more out of their phone.
The new Galaxy Note 7 is expected to come with a larger screen than its predecessor. It will also have a new S Pen, which is said to be packed with added functionalities.
According to a report by SlashGear, the upcoming phablet will carry a 6-inch screen with Super AMOLED display technology. Consumers can choose between 64 GB and 128 GB storage, which will both come with almost the same specs and features. Added storage capacity will also be available on both devices via microSD.
The powerful handheld device is also expected to come with advanced camera set up. The publication added that the primary shooter of the Galaxy Note 7 will be at 12 MP with phase detection autofocus and LED flash. It also has the capability to record videos at 4K resolution.
Other features include an iris scanner, waterproofing system and three color variations—Black, Silver and Blue.
