Samsung Galaxy Note 6 release date, specs update: Device to be launched during the third quarter of 2016?

The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 has been dubbed as one of the most anticipated devices of 2016. There have been several reports made by various online publications with regard to its release date and specs. However, most of these reports are merely just rumors and speculations. Samsung has yet to provide significant details about the device and fans are getting impatient wondering if the new handset is worth the wait.

New reports emerged that the upcoming phablet will be released by the company during the third quarter of the year. According to a report by igalaxys7, Samsung always reveals its Galaxy Note model somewhere around August-September. The publication also added that the device may come with a price of around $750 to $800, which is pretty affordable considering its superior specs.

According to reports, the upcoming Galaxy Note 6 will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor; however, there are also reports suggesting that another version of the device will come with an Exynos processor. What's interesting is that the Galaxy Note 6 could be one of the upcoming devices that will get 6 GB of RAM. If rumors prove to be true, this could be one of the factors why consumers would consider this device once it hits the shelves.

Meanwhile, other features of the Galaxy Note 6 include a 5.8-inch screen with RGB AMOLED display. It will also have a display resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, which is the same as its predecessor. The device is said to come in 3 variants – 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB onboard storage options. There are also reports suggesting that each variant may come with microSD card support.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will be the first major release of the company since the much-celebrated Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. It will come with a pre-installed Android 6.0 Marshmallow; however, there are also reports saying that the device may come with the upcoming Android N operating system.
