Samsung Galaxy Note 6 release date, specs rumors: Handset to have bigger screen and water, dust-resistant features

Easily one of the most popular phablets since the dawn of smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy Note series continues to push the boundaries on what can be done on a mobile device.
While constantly getting stiff competition from direct rivals Apple and other Android counterparts such as Sony and Chinese brand Xiaomi, Samsung remains the standard-bearer when it comes to mobile phones crossed with handheld tablets.
And there have been continued rumors on the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 6, which is obviously an upgrade from its predecessor that was only made available in mid-2015.
So far, reports have randomly popped up on what the phone specs would be and how it would look like, with some saying that it could be water and dust resistant.
More and more high-end phones are being tested for strength and durability and it may be about time that the Note 6 would be part of the discussion.
As for renders, OnLeaks showed that the phone can possibly look like the Samsung Galaxy S7, but with a bigger screen and a slot for the S-Pen as seen below.
For those more concerned about how the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will perform and some of its tech specs, Tech Times revealed that the phone will be IP86-certified just like the other high-end Samsung phones.
A 12-megapixel camera may also be on deck for the phone, with an LED flash for the selfie camera.
For those concerned with more technical side of the phone, the phone may have Exynos 8 and Snapdragon 823 chipsets with 3 GB RAM and 256 GB expandable storage, as well as a powerful 4200 mAh battery pack, as reported by Digit.
As for the phone's release, there are reports saying that it may come around August, around the same time the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 was released last year.
Until then fans have to stay tuned for more updates on Samsung's latest Galaxy Note iteration.
