Samsung Galaxy Note 6 release date, specs rumors: Everything about next generation Note phablet

Samsung has yet to launch Galaxy Note 6, but fans are already anticipating this gadget with rumors circulating online regarding its high-technology features.

In a report by Trusted Reviews, rumor has it that some new features the Galaxy Note 6 will have are 256 GB storage, 6  GB RAM and 4K display. Most of its improvements are under the hood, with custom-made Exynos 8890 for the East Asia market. Western markets, on the other hand, are rumored to be built with Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 820 SoC.

In terms of software, the Galaxy Note 6 is most likely to have Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Google recently released developer version of the Android 7.0 months earlier than planned, but it might take some time for it to appear smartphones.

Its cost might be approximately £625, and the release date scheduled around August, gauging by the dates past Galaxy Notes were released.

Reports also mention of Samsung's plans to scrap the Galaxy S7+, making the Galaxy Note 6 their flagship phablet. According to Tech Radar, a source from one of the major networks in the United Kingdom disclosed the reason behind such turn of events. It can be remembered that Galaxy Note 5 was not released in Europe, causing major backlash from loyal Note users. Realizing how big of a mistake of it sales-wise, Samsung is now rumored to launch the Note 6 in UK. If confirmed, this is good news for the fans who have been waiting for an upgrade to their Galaxy Note 5. However, Samsung cancelling the launch of the Galaxy S7+ either globally or just in the UK remains unclear.

Trusted Reviews asked for Samsung's comment with regards to the speculations surrounding the cancellation of the Galaxy S7+. "We can't comment on these types of article, which are based on rumour and speculation," Samsung replied.
