Following the release of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge earlier this year, fans have shifted their attention to the rumored Galaxy Note 6 and Galaxy Note 6 Edge. According to the latest reports, the Korean tech giant might also launch a Lite variant of the company's flagship phablet.

Despite the company's silence with regard to the development of the Galaxy Note 6 Edge and its variants, fans have continued to talk about it all over the internet. According to the new leaked import data, the upcoming device has a "SM-N935G" code. According to tech observers, the S and M letters of the code represent Samsung, while the N pertains to its line, which is the Galaxy Note. According to some reports, the device could come with a similar curved screen design of the current Galaxy S7 Edge.

According to Forbes, the N935G of the code represents the Galaxy Note 6 Edge variant. The publications added that Samsung did not change the way they represent codes for their upcoming releases.

Meanwhile, there have been rumors suggesting that Samsung may skip the Galaxy Note 6 model and will release the Galaxy Note 7 instead. Apparently, Samsung wants to be consistent with the numbering of their upcoming devices to avoid confusion from some fans. The company is said to be considering the idea because they want to compete with Apple's rumored iPhone 7, which is said to be released this year.

According to SlashGear, Samsung's Galaxy Note 6 Lite version will be released along with the top of the line variants to cater to budget-conscious consumers.

There have been speculations suggesting that the new Galaxy Note 6 and Galaxy Note 6 Edge might feature the 6GB LPDDR4 RAM, which Samsung previously revealed. There are also reports saying that the device may come with full 4K support.

Nonetheless, these reports have yet to be confirmed by the company. Until Samsung decides to make the phablet official, all pieces of information must be taken with a grain of salt.
