Samsung Galaxy Note 6 release date rumors, specs: Leaked image shows the device with 6 GB of RAM

Following the release of the much-celebrated Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, fans and critics have shifted their focus on the upcoming release of Galaxy Note 6. There have been numerous rumors and speculations that circulated all over the internet regarding the development of the upcoming handset. The latest one to hit the rumor mill is an alleged screenshot of the device's specs, which shows a whopping 6 GB or RAM under its hood.

The leaked image came from CPU-Z, which showed the potential specs of the device. Not only will it sport a 6 GB of RAM, it will also run on Exynos 8890 chipset, which is the same one being used on Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. Previous report suggested that the upcoming Galaxy Note 6 will come with Snapdragon 823 processor, which is said to support up to 8 GB of RAM.

Other specs include the 12MP rear-facing snapper, which is said to come in dual pixel set up. It is also expected to carry a 5.8-inch Quad HD display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. The device also has 32 GB of internal storage capacity. Although it is not being mentioned in the listing if the device will come with an extended storage capacity, many fans believe that it will have the same feature as the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, which have the expandable storage capacity.

There are also reports suggesting that the device will come with 3700 mAh battery and will be powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the company's newest version of the TouchWiz UI.

It is also possible that the device may come in different variations and will be priced according to class.

Fans should take note that Benchmarks are not necessarily true and like any other rumor, this should be taken with a grain of salt. As of now, what fans can do is wait for the official announcement from the Korean tech giant.
