Samsung Galaxy Note 6 or Galaxy Note 7 release date, specs rumors: New video, photo renders show the hybrid phablet's external features

New leaked images of the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 or Galaxy Note 7 appear to be quite similar to the recently released Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The South Korean tech giant is said to launch the upcoming device before the year ends.
According to reports, aside from its striking resemblance to the Galaxy S7 Edge, the phablet also features a USB-C port and an improved S Pen.
There have been contradicting reports with regard to the phablet's model name. There are speculations coming from several tech observers saying that the new handset will be called as Samsung Galaxy Note 7 instead of the Galaxy Note 6. Apparently, the company does not want to confuse its fans by giving the upcoming hybrid a similar number scheme to the current Samsung Galaxy S7.
There are already reports suggesting that the company has already started its Galaxy Note 6 or Galaxy Note 7 development. According to these reports, the device may come as early as August, which is just a month before the rumored release of the iPhone 7. It appears that the plan is to create a new device with advanced specs and features to compete with Apple's flagship smartphone.
Meanwhile, the size of the device is said to be at 6.04 x 2.90 x 0.31 inches. Its exterior design looks pretty similar to that of the current Galaxy S7 Edge. It also has the same the dual-edge display at 5.7 inches or 5.8-inches. Some of the outside features include a 3.5-mm headphone port, a USB-Type C port and a speaker grill. The Galaxy Note 6 or Galaxy Note 7 will be the first Samsung device to adapt the USB-Type C port. It is said to provide better user experience because it increases the charging speed of the battery and it helps transfer files faster.
