There is a potent reason as to why the South Korean tech behemoth Samsung Electronics just keeps on refreshing Samsung Galaxy J7 year after year since it was birthed right under the industry players' noses back in 2015. Among the company's vast array of smartphone offerings, the entry is definitely quite a stunner.

Released on June 2015, the first Samsung Galaxy J7 sported a 1.5GB random-access memory (RAM) and a 3,000-milliamere-hour (mAh) battery, which was considerably powerful back then within its range. It also was encased in a 5.5-inch super active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) display with 7.5mm thickness â€” the device was clearly a beauty.

Subsequently, Samsung has unveiled a refresh of the entry on March 2016, showcasing an improved 2GB RAM and a much larger 3,300mAh battery. Meanwhile, the device was powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 and a 13-megapixel (MP) rear camera and a 5MP front-facing snapper.

Despite the reveal's lack of crucial information about the smartphone's features and specifications, it does, however, confirm that the firm is indeed developing a new unit for the model device.

2017's Samsung Galaxy J7 has previously been rumored to come with 5.5-inch full high-definition (HD) display with 1,920 x 1,080 resolution. It might be powered by the company's proprietary chipset, Exynos; likewise, it is tipped to be equipped with a massive 3GB RAM.

Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) is pegged to sport an unchanged 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie shooter. A 3,000mAh battery is currently being rumored for the device. Also, the forthcoming device will also come with 4G Long-Term Evolution (LTE), a Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Global Positioning System (GPS) and near-field communication (NFC).

Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) is expected to debut in the second quarter of next year.
