Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) release date, news and specs rumors: leaked benchmarks hint at 5-inch HD display, 1.5GB RAM

One of Samsung Electronic's unique qualities is its ability to replicate a model variant on a year-to-year basis, a feat that only few tech players can conduct without having to lose some revenues. As such, the South Korean is ensuring that some of its favorited iterations are getting the right treatment before they get unveiled again with some of the most sought-after features and specifications in the current market.

Among its prized models is Samsung Galaxy J3. A culmination of careful aesthetics and competitive features, the iteration has been previously tipped to introduce yet another entry in its roster very much soon. And with its specs being outed already by GeekBench and Zauba and approved by FCC in the United States, it's just a matter of time before the new entry will get unveiled.

The latest round of information about Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) has now made its debut in the GFXBench site. Accordingly, the forthcoming smartphone will be sporting a 5-inch high-definition (HD) display with 720 x 1,280 pixels along with at least five-finger gesture support. Moreover, the device will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that will be clocked at 1.4GHz; a 1.5GB random-access memory (RAM) and 16GB native storage are also included.

In addition, Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) will be coming with a 5-megapixel (MP) rear camera that will be supported with a flash, face detection, autofocus, touch focus and high-dynamic range (HDR) photo. Meanwhile, a 2MP selfie and video snapper is likewise to be equipped on the smartphone. The upcoming device will also be armed with a variety of sensors which will include of compass, gyroscope and accelerometer.

Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) may also be running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow along with Samsung's proprietary TouchWiz UI.

Meanwhile, another variant of the same model is expected to launch with Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017). A larger 5.5-inch full HD active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) display, an 8MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing snapper, Snapdragon 430 with 1.5GB RAM are some of its listed specifications.
