Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 news, release date, rumored specs: specs in latest leak include 16MP selfie snapper, Exynos 7880

Along with Samsung Galaxy J7, Samsung Galaxy A7 is one of the very few non-flagship iterations from South Korean firm Samsung Electronics that keep on getting refreshed annually. Similar to the former, the A7's offerings couldn't be more understated — and with its remarkable infusion of aesthetics and advanced specifications, fans couldn't be blamed if there is still an eager clamor for the device to come out in 2017.
And now that December is becoming more imminent, Samsung is about to release a string of next-generation entries from its Galaxy A roster. The first to be outed recently is Samsung Galaxy A7's features and specifications. According to SAMMOBILE, the forthcoming device will be encased in a 5.7-inch super active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) full-high-definition (HD) display, a considerable upgrade from its predecessor's 5.5-inch.
In addition, Samsung Galaxy A7 may be powered by the firm's proprietary Exynos 7880 octa processor, which will be supported by 3GB worth of random-access memory (RAM) and 32GB native storage. The internal storage is also rumored to be expandable.
But among the leaked information, the most notable feature Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) might ever come with is its 16-megapixel (MP) front-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture. A genuine game-changing upgrade, the camera will also be coupled with a 16MP rear snapper, similar to its predecessor.
Furthermore, 2017's Samsung Galaxy A7 is tipped to come with IP68 certification, which indicates that the device is able to resist dust and water. The mid-range smartphone could also be showcasing a set of similar design and aesthetics such as the glass and metallic offerings. On the other hand, a fingerprint sensor, a USB Type-C port, a larger 3,600-milliampere-hour (mAh) battery and an OIS are also expected to be equipped in the upcoming entry.
The new Samsung Galaxy A-series lineup is expected to be unveiled in December.
