Sadie Robertson Says She's 'Honored' To Be Compared To Duggar Family
Sadie Robertson, one of the stars of the "Duck Dynasty" reality show, recently said in an interview that she is "honored" to be compared to the Duggar family, who stars in their own reality show "19 Kids and Counting."
In a recent interview with E! News, Robertson was asked if it "bothers" her that she is often compared to the Duggar family of "19 Kids and Counting." Both the Duggars and the Robertsons are evangelical Christians who in the past have been unafraid of expressing their religious and moral beliefs with the world.
"It doesn't bother me at all," she told E! News. "I've actually met the Duggars once and they're great people. So to be compared to them is actually an honor, not anything bad."
"They're wonderful people," Robertson continued. "And I actually wish I could hang out with them more because we actually do have a lot of the same values so it's cool to be compared to them."
Both the Robertson and the Duggars have previously been criticized for expressing some of their religious beliefs. Phil Robertson, Sadie's grandfather, received criticism last year for saying he believed homosexuality was a sin, equivalent to all other sins. Recently, a petition on Change.org has called on TLC to remove "19 Kids and Counting" after the Duggar family was accused of removing a same-sex kissing photo from their Facebook page.
Robertson recently passed the semi-final competition on the dance competition show "Dancing with the Stars," and the 17-year-old contestant was commended by judges for staying true to her beliefs by keeping her routines modest and classy.
