Sadie Robertson on Josh Duggar Scandal: 'We're Praying For The Duggar Family'
Christian reality star Sadie Robertson has spoken out regarding embattled reality star Josh Duggar, suggesting that her family will be praying for the Duggar family as they encounter this difficult time.
It was recently revealed that 27-year-old Duggar held two accounts on the Ashley Madison extramarital affair website. Duggar also revealed in a statement apologizing for his behavior that he also struggled with a pornography addiction.
Before the cheating scandal, TLC canceled the Duggar reality show "19 Kids and Counting" after it was revealed that Josh had molested multiple underage girls in his teens.
Robertson, who stars on the A&E reality show "Duck Dynasty," recently told People magazine that her family is praying for the Duggars as they go through this difficult time.
"It would be just as hard for them if they weren't in the limelight, but now that they're in the light, and everybody's talking about it, that just adds that many more comments, that many more opinions," Robertson said. "We've been there. It's hard. We're praying for them. We're there for them."
Robertson added that her family is not immune to public criticism, referencing a time when A&E almost canceled their show "Duck Dynasty" due to Sadie's grandfather's comments on gay marriage.
"They almost canceled Duck Dynasty whenever my grandpa said the things that he said, and that would have been, in my opinion, not a very good decision, because that was putting one man's words in all of our mouths," she said. "Josh Duggar, that's not his whole family. His whole family didn't do that. He made a mistake."
