Sadie Robertson Makes It Through Semi-Finals on 'Dancing With The Stars'
Sadie Robertson, daughter of Willie Robertson from the A&E reality show "Duck Dynasty," has successfully passed the semi-final competition on the reality television show "Dancing with the Stars."
Robertson and her dance partner, Mark Ballas, performed an entertaining quickstep together that had the show's judges awarding high scores.
"You are such a breath of fresh air. […] There's a light you have that just shines so much, and people take that light and it's so infectious," Judge Julianne Hough commended Robertson. "That was brilliant."
Robertson and her dance partner also performed a sensual tango, and the judges commended the 17-year-old for maintaining a sense of modesty and composure during the usually-promiscuous dance. The couple used a guitar as a prop during the dance to maintain their modesty.
"I thought [the guitar] created a barrier so that it wasn't super passionate-romantic. That's what I love about you is that you stay true to who you are and that is what's authentic and that's what people love," Hough said.
A short video was also shown that revealed Robertson's parents, Willie and Korie, reflecting on their daughter's deep faith and mature demeanor. The video also showed country music star Luke Bryant, a friend of the family, discussing his pride for the Robertson daughter and her accomplished dance performances.
"The most important thing in my heart is God," a 5 year-old Robertson says in a home video added into the footage shown before her performance.
"Sadie always loved God and she wasn't afraid to talk about it," grandma Kay Robertson adds in the short video.
